LIAISONMAN II
Job Summary / Objective
The Liaisonman II provides advanced on-site supervisory command and technical leadership over high-risk Drilling & Workover projects. This role assumes responsibility for deep-well HPHT programs, multi-million dollar jack-up assets, and systematic workforce development under highly toxic gas conditions.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise Multi-Environment Rigs: Act as Rig Supervisor over both offshore and onshore drilling operations, applying international best practices to maximize safety and efficiency.
- Manage Advanced Drilling Technologies: Direct specialized deviated drilling projects, short radius horizontal wells, and offshore jack-up operations utilizing top drive units, MWD technology, and oil-based muds.
- Mitigate Critical Well Conditions: Oversee operations for high-pressure / high-temperature wells as deep as 17,000 feet, safely managing heavy mud weights up to 165 PCF and extreme H2S concentrations of 20%.
- Drive Crew Mentorship: Lead formal on-site mentorship initiatives, actively transferring specialized drilling skills and technical knowledge to subordinates.
- Enforce Safety & Well Control: Maintain strict compliance with blowout prevention (BOP), IADC guidelines, emergency response, and core safety procedures.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Experience (Choose Route A or B):
- Route A: BS in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in drilling engineering and operations.
- Route B: High School Degree or equivalent with fifteen (15) years’ experience in Drilling Engineering and Operations.
- Note: Intensive oil/gas upstream specialized training courses with diploma education will be considered.
- Global Background: Extensive Drilling & Workover experience internationally (with major operators such as Shell, Exxon, Chevron, etc.) as a Rig Supervisor. Saudi Aramco field experience is highly preferable.
- Certifications: Must hold a valid certificate in Blowout Prevention (BOP) and well control. Must have completed H2S, Offshore survival (HUET), Firefighting, and First Aid courses. Must have completed the IADC certification courses to the required level.
- Communication & Driving: Must have excellent communication skills, with training and career development certified in the English language. Must hold a valid Saudi driving license or a Saudi Arab Government acceptable international license to drive SAUDI ARAMCO vehicles.
